What we build
LagKlar builds Ceasar, a research tool for lawyers working with Swedish law. The idea came out of a simple observation. Legal research takes time, and the AI tools that exist tend to answer confidently about things they do not know. In an AI generated answer, a provision that has been amended, or never existed at all, looks exactly like a correct one.
How we work
Ceasar rests on a knowledge base of Swedish statutes and case law that is entered and checked document by document. The knowledge base is reconciled daily against the open data published by the Riksdag, so that amendments and new wordings are picked up. Every source reference in an answer can be opened and read in its original text. That is a deliberate choice. The checking belongs with the lawyer who uses the tool, not with us who built it.
Your privacy
Personal data is processed in accordance with the GDPR. All traffic runs over HTTPS and TLS, and uploaded files are stored encrypted. For hosting, storage and AI models we use subprocessors, and who they are and on what legal basis they process data is set out in our privacy policy. A data processing agreement is signed with the firms that use Ceasar.
